Drug busts net 5 suspects, P122k shabu in Rizal town

LUCENA CITY—Five drug suspects with more than P122,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were arrested Wednesday, June 29, in buy-bust operations in Taytay town in Rizal province, police reported Thursday.
The Police Regional Office 4A said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Vilver Alvarez at 9:40 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Ana. Authorities found seven sachets of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P35,700 in his possession.
Earlier, authorities arrested Luigi Loreno in the same village at 7:20 p.m. He yielded P8,160 worth of meth.
The local drug enforcement unit collared at 4:40 p.m. suspected shabu peddlers Christian Javes Delmundo and Carlee Mabagos. Police seized seven sachets of shabu with a DBB value of P42,160.
The police also busted Joshua Dagohoy around 1 p.m. He was reportedly carrying six sachets of meth worth P36,720.
Charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspects.
