83 year-old man dies in Nueva Ecija blaze
SANTA ROSA, Nueva Ecija – An 83-year-old man died when fire struck his residence here on Friday, authorities reported on Saturday.

Police said Marianito Taluzan was inside his house in Barangay (village) Zamora when the fire broke out at around 8:30 p.m.
Taluzan reportedly failed to move out of the burning house due to his physical condition.

His wife and two other members of the household, however, managed to run to safety and were unhurt, investigators said.
Fire investigators have yet to determine the cause of the conflagration.
