4 drug suspects nabbed, over P35,000 worth of shabu seized in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY—Anti-narcotics operatives arrested four drug suspects and recovered more than P35,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and firearms in separate buy-bust operations on Tuesday, June 21, in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces, police reported Wednesday.

In Camarines Sur, Aldren Bobis, 31, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. in Barangay Caranan in Pasacao town.

Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol cop spokesperson, said in a report that authorities recovered four sachets or three grams of shabu worth P20,400.

Bobis was on the illegal drugs watch list in the region.

In Calabanga town, Juvy Capal, 49, was also arrested in a separate operation in Barangay Pagatpat at 1:05 p.m.

Authorities recovered seven sachets or 1.4 grams of shabu worth P4,000 and a caliber .22 with three live bullets.

Calubaquib said Capal was also on the illegal drugs watch list and
considered as a street-level individual.

In Albay, Raul Laging, 49, was arrested at 2:43 p.m. in Barangay San Lorenzo in Tabaco City.

Recovered were a medium sachet or 1.55 grams of shabu worth P10,540 and a caliber .38 gun with five live bullets.

In a separate operation, Aldin Naz, 38, was arrested at around 1:30 p.m. in Barangay Inamnan Pequeño in Guinobatan town.

Police confiscated 12 sachets of shabu, a caliber .22 revolver with five live bullets, and P500 buy-bust money.
