LUCENA CITY—Police arrested a suspected rookie drug pusher and seized more than P32,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Tuesday in this city.
Anti-illegal drug operatives, acting on tips from rehabilitated drug users, arrested Ederick Pelicano, 23, after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover cop at 6:46 a.m. in Barangay Domoit, Police Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena cop chief, said in a report.
Authorities seized five sachets of meth worth P32,232 in the street market from the suspect.
Pelicano is not on the police drug watch list or a newbie in the illegal drug trade.
He was detained and is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
