‘Notorious drug pusher’ nabbed in Lucena buy-bust
LUCENA CITY––Police nabbed an alleged notorious drug pusher in this city and seized more than P233,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation on Thursday, March 10.
Anti-illegal drugs agents collared at 1:28 p.m. Jayron Grecia after he reportedly sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Cotta, Lt. Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena police chief, said in a report Friday.
Authorities seized 19 sachets of meth ready for distribution to drug users in the village.
The confiscated shabu has an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P77,928 and was worth P233,784 in the street market.
Police tagged Grecia as among the street-level drug pushers in the city.
“The arrest of the suspect will have another impact on the reduction of illegal drug supply in the city,” Reyes said.
The suspect was detained at the city jail and is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
