LEGAZPI CITY — The local government of Juban town in Sorsogon has ordered decampment of families evacuated from the danger zones of Mount Bulusan on Tuesday, June 14.

Arvee Lodronio, head of municipal disaster risk reduction and management office, said the decampment would start in the morning and expected to complete before noontime.

A total of 148 families or 489 individuals from Barangay (village) Puting Sapa were evacuated at Juban Evacuation Center, Juban Gymnasium and Tughan Evacuation Center.

Dr. Edric Vargas, in charge of the DRRM health section of the town’s rural health unit, said two evacuees would temporarily stay at the evacuation center for health concerns.

He said another evacuee was isolated at the Sorsogon Provincial Hospital.
