MANILA, Philippines — The ridge of high pressure area (HPA), extending over the eastern section of Luzon, will bring warm weather conditions across the archipelago on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Ngayong araw, dahil sa ridge of HPA, maganda at maalinsangan na panahon ang mararanasan sa Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in an early morning forecast.
(Today, hot and humid weather will persist in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao because of the ridge of HPA.)
He added, however, that sporadic rain showers due to localized thunderstorms may still be expected especially from afternoon to evening.
According to the state weather bureau, the country will also remain in monsoon break for the next three days, and this will similarly calm the weather and clear the skies nationwide.

Pagasa earlier said that the ridge of the HPA is blocking the entry of the southwest monsoon in the country.
No tropical depression is being monitored within or outside the Philippine area of responsibility, Aurelio noted.
