150,000 jobs await job seekers on Independence Day
MANILA, Philippines — Nearly 150,000 jobs are awaiting applicants on Independence Day, June 12, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Sunday.

Some 1,160 employers are offering 149,192 local and overseas jobs through the Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan Job and Business Fairs.

Most of the job openings are in manufacturing, business process outsourcing, financial activities, and construction, DOLE said.
The government sector will likewise give work offers in the job fair sites.
Meanwhile, the top vacancies for overseas employment are for nurses; factory workers; household service workers; carpenters, electricians, and masons; and cleaners.
Almost 90 recruitment agencies will provide work opportunities in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
More than 12,000 of the job opportunities can be found at the main job fair site in the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos City, Bulacan, said Bello.
