MANILA, Philippines — Senator Imee Marcos on Friday expressed her hopes for a more “smooth sailing” Senate under the administration of her brother, President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Wala na masyadong alitan between the two branches of government.”

(It is no secret that President Duterte had a problem with the legislative side, in the Senate…So this time, I hope lesser bills or resolutions will be vetoed. No more disputes. I hope issues in the blue-ribbon committee can be thoroughly discussed and investigated without much disagreement. And I hope the two branches of the government will have less conflict.)
