109 new COVID-19 cases in PH, 52 in Metro Manila — OCTA Research
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila accounted for 52 of the 109 new COVID-19 cases nationwide on Wednesday, independent analytics group OCTA Research said Thursday.
The total number of active cases is now 3,328.
The nationwide positivity rate meanwhile stood at 1.2 percent.
In a Twitter post, OCTA Research fellow Guido David projected that 210 new COVID-19 infections will be recorded on Thursday.

The Department of Health and the World Health Organization earlier warned of a possible case surge within the month, especially after people flocked to polling precincts during the May 9 elections.
