El Shaddai backs Mark Villar’s Senate bid
MANILA, Philippines — Influential Catholic charismatic group El Shaddai, a religious group in the country headed by Bro. Mike Velarde, has endorsed the senatorial bid of former Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary, Mark A. Villar for the upcoming national elections.
UniTeam senatorial candidate Villar thanked the religious group El Shaddai for supporting his bid for a Senate seat in the May 2022 elections.
“Nais ko pong pasalamatan ang milyun-milyong kasapi ng El Shaddai at kay Bro. Mike Velarde. Ikinagagalak ko po ang pag endorso sa akin ng isa pinakamalaking Catholic charismatic movement, nakakataba po ng puso ang pag endorso ninyo saakin,” Villar said.
“We are always very grateful to Brother Mike for all his support lalo na po sa Pamilya ko. Maraming salamat po sa mga naniniwala sa akin at sa aking serbisyo publiko. Tayo ay patuloy na maglilingkod sa Diyos at tutulong sa ating mga kababayan,” Villar added.
Thousands of El Shaddai supporters gathered at their House of Prayer in Parañaque City on 30 April 2022, with almost 8 million members.
