LUCENA CITY––Anti-illegal drugs operatives busted Monday and Tuesday four drug suspects in Rizal and Quezon provinces and seized P374,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth).

The Calabarzon police reported that Antipolo City police drug enforcers collared Dexter Yu Punzalan after he allegedly sold at 2:55 a.m. a pack of meth to an undercover cop in Barangay Mambugan.

The suspect yielded five plastic sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams worth P204,000.

In Taytay town, police nabbed Angelo Sarmiento in another drug sting around 7:30 p.m. on Monday in Barangay Dolores.

Authorities confiscated eight sachets of shabu weighing 25 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of about P170,000 from the suspect.

In Lucena, anti-narcotics agents arrested two brothers, both alleged notorious drug pushers on the police watch list, in a buy-bust operation early Tuesday.

The arrested suspects were Raymart Balmes, 28, and his sibling, Raymond, 23, of Barangay Silangang Mayao, Lt. Col. Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena police chief, said in a report.

Local police drug enforcers collared the two after they sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover cop at 6:10 a.m. in their village.

Authorities confiscated six plastic sachets of meth with a street value of P34,680 from the suspects.

The police said the siblings were on the drugs watch list as street-level peddlers of illegal drugs.

The suspects were detained and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
