5 drug suspects busted in Rizal and Cavite

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested five drug suspects in buy-bust operations in Tagaytay City and Taytay, Rizal on Saturday.

The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported Sunday that anti-narcotics agents collared Jerome Ingeniero, Melchor Ingeniero, Ramon Mainit and Rosita Rosario after selling P1,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) San Juan in Taytay around 5:30 p.m.

Authorities seized 15 grams of shabu in a plastic sachet worth an estimated P103,500 and drug-using paraphernalia from the suspects.

In Tagaytay City, police also nabbed Erwin Gillboy in another drug bust in Barangay Mendez Crossing at 5:28 p.m. The suspect yielded four sachets of shabu.

The police also found in Gillboy’s possession an undocumented and loaded  .38 caliber gun.

The five suspects were detained and will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Gillboy will also face a formal complaint for illegal possession of a firearm and violation of the election period gun ban.
