3 drug suspects yield P3.4M worth of shabu in Cavite busts
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three drug suspects and seized over P3.4 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Bacoor and Imus in Cavite province on Saturday and Sunday, police said.
The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported that anti-narcotic agents nabbed Joery Villafañe and Ignito Mejares after the two sold a pack of shabu to undercover cops in a transaction in Barangay (village) Molino 4 in Bacoor City around 3:15 p.m.
The suspects were found carrying two knot-tied plastic bags containing shabu weighing 500 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P3,400.000.
In Imus City, anti-illegal drugs operatives busted Rasul Abedin in another sting operation in Barangay Malagasang 1D around 3:50 a.m. Sunday.
The suspect yielded three sachets of crystal meth weighing 11 grams worth P99,000.
The suspects were detained and are facing criminal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
