Robredo vows to keep momentum until election day
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo believes her campaign can sustain its momentum until the May 9 polls in light of her improved rating in the latest Pulse Asia survey.
“Oo, if there is one lesson na natutunan ko sa mga eleksyon, it’s not over until it’s over…Nakita natin ito hindi lang noong 2016 noong ako lumaban, pero in 2010. Yung halimbawa ‘yung come from behind win ni Vice President Jojo Binay, ganitong-ganito ‘yung sitwasyon noon,” Robredo told reporters in a media interview in Pangasinan on Friday.
(Yes, if there is one lesson na natutunan ko sa mga eleksyon, it’s not over until it’s over. We saw this not only in 2016 when I ran, but also in 2010. An example is the come from behind win of Vice President Jojo Binay, this is a similar situation.)
“So, dapat lang na ‘yung mga supporters hindi napapagod na kumayod kasi ‘yung pinaka-mahalaga sa lahat na nararamdaman nila ‘yung fruits ng kanilang pagod,” she added.
(So, our supporters should not be tired out because what’s most important is they feel the fruits of their labor.)

(If given the chance that they are given the correct information, they will pick someone who will benefit their welfare.)
In the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted last March 17 to 21, Robredo’s voter preference grew by 9 percentage points, narrowing the gap between her and current survey frontrunner former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“Malaking bagay siya para makita ng mga supporters natin na nagme-make ng mark ‘yung lahat ng ginagawa nilang pagod. Pero nakikita na namin to even before it came out. Nakikita na namin sa aming mga provincial surveys,” Robredo said in reaction to the survey.
(This is a big thing so that the supporters can see that their efforts are making a mark. But we have seen this even before it came out. We have seen this in our provincial surveys.)
“Nakikita namin ‘yung movement saka ‘yung trajectory pataas. Ang pinakamaganda dito kasi ito ‘yung nagpapakita na ‘yung momentum na sa atin talaga,” she added.
(We have seen the movement, the trajectory. The best thing about this is it shows that we have the momentum.)
