All public schools in Zambales resume in-person classes

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––All public schools in this province resumed limited face-to-face classes on Monday, March 21.

In an advisory, the regional office of the Department of Education (DepEd) announced that 313 public schools in 13 towns in the province were given the go-signal to join the progressive expansion of in-person classes after passing the periodic assessment.

Schools Division Superintendent Romeo Alip thanked the local governments, healthcare workers, parents, principals, and teachers who helped them reopen all schools.

The schools were expected to resume more classes in the coming weeks since the province was placed under the most lenient COVID-19 alert level 1.

In November last year, only an initial 10 public schools in this province were allowed to participate in the pilot run of in-person classes after more than a year of conducting distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. INQ
