MANILA, Philippines — Several people who attended the campaign rally of Marcos-Duterte tandem in Bulacan have lost their belongings such as cellphones and wallets on Tuesday.

The victims took turns in going onstage to appeal to the audience to give back their personal things, some even offering money in exchange for the return of their cellphones and wallets.

“Please lang po kung sino po ‘yung kumuha ng cellphone ko, pakisauli na lang po. Babayaran ko,” a male victim said.

(Please, whoever took my phone, just return it to me, I will pay for it.)

“Parang awa niyo na po, pakisauli na lang po. Babayaran ko, please lang po,” another male victim pleaded.

(I beg you to please return it, I will pay for it, please.)

A female victim also offered a bargain to the culprit: take the cash but return her wallet which contains an OFW ID.

“Sino po nakakita ng wallet? May OFW ID po ‘yun, pakisauli na lang po. Kahit hindi na isauli ‘yung pera, hinihingi ko lang po ‘yung wallet,” she said.

(Who saw a wallet? There is an OFW ID in it, please return it. Even if you don’t return the money, just return the wallet.)

INQUIRER.net has reached out to the camp of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for comment on these reported thieveries but has yet to receive a response as of posting time.

The tandem of Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential bet Sara Duterte-Carpio went around Bulacan province — Guiguinto, Meycauayan, and Sta. Maria — and hosted campaign rallies.

Bulacan is among the country’s vote-rich areas, thus, among the prime venues for political campaign activities.
