/ 10:52 PM March 03, 2012

Driven to the brink of desperation after losing his job, a young man was found hanging inside his house in Quezon City by neighbors who wanted to watch TV with him.

Nicanor Adduru, 24,  was rushed to a hospital on Friday night, but died on the way.

Case investigator SPO2 Roldan Dapat said the victim, a marketing specialist, had apparently planned his suicide as several letters were found inside his house in Barangay Bagong Silangan.

Dapat learned that Adduru was laid off from work two weeks ago. The victim’s neighbors were kind enough to share their meals with the victim while the landlord let him stay rent-free.
