2 more die of COVID-19 complications in Olongapo

Two more patients here died of COVID-19 complications, raising to 341 the city's total death toll related to the viral disease, local data showed on Thursday, Feb. 10.

OLONGAPO CITY — Two more patients here died of COVID-19 complications, raising to 341 the city’s total death toll related to the viral disease, local data showed on Thursday, Feb. 10.

According to the city’s COVID-19 task force, the latest fatalities were both women ages 51 and 52.

The 51-year-old patient succumbed to cardiac arrest secondary to diabetes mellitus while the 52-year-old woman suffered from acute coronary syndrome, subarachnoid hemorrhage and pneumonia.

Despite this, the number of new COVID-19 cases in the city further dropped to 123 after logging 65 new recoveries and six new cases on Thursday.

The new patients are ages 30 to 65 and were all fully vaccinated.

So far, the city has already recorded 6,923 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 6,459 recoveries.
