MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines received on Wednesday 455,130 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, according to the National Task Force Against COVID-19.

The government bought the vaccines through a loan from the World Bank.

Air Hong Kong Flight LD456, which transported the doses, touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at around 9 p.m.

As of Feb. 4, a total of 217,778,400 doses of various anti-COVID shots were shipped to the country. So far, 128,544,903 have been administered.

On Tuesday, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, the acting presidential spokesperson, reported that around 60.1 million of the 77-million target population had been fully immunized against COVID-19.

The government aims to fully inoculate 90 million individuals by the end of June.

The government will hold a third national vaccination drive on Feb. 10 and 11 with a target to inject six million COVID-19 vaccine doses.
