Murder convict bolts Samar jail
MANILA, Philippines — A murder convict has escaped from a sub-provincial jail in Calbayog City, Samar, according to the police.
Information from the Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) showed that Julito Dacles escaped from the sub-provincial jail in Barangay Catarman at about 3 a.m. on Monday.
Police warned that Dacles is armed and dangerous.
Prison guards reportedly took Dacles to the lobby near his cell after he complained of difficulty of breathing.
The guards, however, later discovered that Dacles was already missing.
“For any information about his whereabouts, please contact the nearest police station in your area for immediate action,” PRO-8 said.
