Zambales fishermen to get commercial boats from BFAR
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) will distribute small-scale commercial boats to fishermen in Masinloc town to help them improve their catch.
Wilfredo Cruz, director of BFAR in Central Luzon, said 10 38-footer fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) with 4DR5 engine will be given to the fishermen who have been venturing out to the West Philippine Sea.
Cruz said the boats could travel as far as 15 kilometers from the shoreline.
