MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) has announced scheduled power interruptions in some parts of Laguna and Quezon City for week.

Laguna

Calamba City, Jan. 6 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• portion of South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) – southbound from KM44 Petron Gas Station to Mapagong Overpass, including Southern Plains Subdivision and Sitio Latian in Barangay Mapagong
• portion of Silangan Industrial Park Road from South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) – Silangan Exit to and including Silangan Village, Everest Hills Memorial Park, and SM Warehouse in Barangay Canlubang
• portion of C.A. Yulo Avenue from Silangan Industrial Park Road to and including Royal Cargo South Hub, Hino Motors Philippines, and Genosi in Canlubang Industrial Estate, Barangay Canlubang
• portion of Silangan Industrial Park Road from C. A. Yulo Avenue to and including Fuji-Haya Electric Corporation Philippines and Benby Enterprises in Canlubang Industrial Estate, Barangay Canlubang

Reason: Installation of additional lightning protection devices along C. A. Yulo Avenue in Barangay Canlubang

Balara, Jan. 8 to 9 between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Zuzuarregui Street, including Ayala Hillside Estates Subdivision; Albergus Catering, Sofia Bellevue Condominium – Medina Building, New Port Building, Woodridge Building, Somerset Building, and Ardmore Building in Barangay Old Balara

Reason: Replacement of poles and line reconductoring works along Capitol Hills Drive in Barangay Old Balara.
