Robredo says she’s willing to give VP bigger gov’t role if she becomes president
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential aspirant and incumbent Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday said she is willing to give the next vice president a bigger role in the government should she win the highest elective post in the country next year.
Robredo also said she doesn’t mind working with whoever wins the vice presidency, even those from the current administration.
“So kahit sino iyong maging VP, bibigyan ng malaking role sa pamahalaan dahil iyong pagkakaintindihan namin magreresulta ng maraming kabutihan para sa bansa natin,” Robredo told reporters in a press briefing in Sorsogon when asked if she’s willing to work with vice presidential aspirant Senator Bong Go.
(So whoever becomes the VP, I will give them a big role in the government because our mutual cooperation will result for the greater good in our country.)
“Kung ako palarin, hindi ko gagawin sa Vice President iyong na-experience ko as Vice President ngayon,” Robredo added.
