COVAX delivers 883,350 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses to PH
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 883,350 doses of the US-made Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine were delivered to the Philippines on Friday afternoon.
The vaccine doses, which were donated by the global initiative COVAX facility, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at around 4:15 p.m., as shown on a Livestream by state-run PTV.
So far, over 71 million vaccine doses have been delivered to the Philippines.
Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. earlier said the country’s COVID-19 vaccine supply may reach over 100 million doses.
Over 21 million Filipinos have so far been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
