PH fully vaccinated over 20 million people vs COVID-19 as of Sept 26
MANILA, Philippines — Some 20,307,122 people nationwide have already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Malacañang reported Monday.
In a press briefing, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the latest tally of fully vaccinated individuals against the new coronavirus was as of September 26, 2021.
Roque said nearly 44 million or 43,933,886 vaccine doses have been administered since the government launched the inoculation drive versus COVID-19 in March. Of this total, 22,541,383 were given as a first dose.
In Metro Manila alone, 7.1 million persons have already completed their COVID-19 vaccination.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said close to 9 million persons or 90 percent of the capital region’s eligible population are expected to be fully vaccinated by December.
