Over P200k worth shabu seized from 11 suspects in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY — Operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA-3) and the city police arrested 11 drug suspects who allegedly yielded some P204,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in Balibago village here on Friday night.

In a statement, PDEA-3 chief Bryan Babang identified the arrested suspects in the first anti-illegal drugs operation as Dennis Suan, 21; John Michael Samson, 26; Regino Dela Peña, 27; Marlon Esguerra, 38; and Abdula Ampaso, 52.

Babang said 10 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with street value of P102,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia were allegedly confiscated from the suspects.

In the second operation, Babang said operatives arrested Amdani Ampaso, 28; Ronalyn Siazon, 18; Byron Estabillo, 37; Nicolas Gabriel, 39; Arjie Rolda, 40; and Dodimir Cortez, 25.

He said another 15 grams of shabu and drug paraphernalia were allegedly confiscated from the suspects.

The PDEA-3 director said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
