2-month-old girl among 25 new COVID-19 cases in Zambales
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––The number of COVID-19 active cases in this province ballooned to 644, with 25 new infections reported on Thursday, Aug. 19.
Provincial health officer Dr. Noel Bueno said among the latest cases is a 2-month-old baby girl from this town.
The oldest of the new patients is an 80-year-old woman in San Marcelino town who reportedly had no exposure to infected patients but was diagnosed with pneumonia, Bueno said.
At least 22 more virus-infected patients in the province have recovered on the same day, pushing the total number of recoveries to 4,365.
The province’s death toll stood at 147. No new deaths were recorded in the last few days.
