MANILA, Philippines — San Juan City will set up satellite COVID-19 vaccination sites at the distribution venues of cash aid, which is scheduled to start on Wednesday, Aug. 11.

In a statement, the city government said the cash aid beneficiaries would be determined through a list provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Each recipient will receive a minimum of P1,000 to a maximum of P4,000 per family.

The city will apply the same scheme it did in the last aid distribution where residents of each barangay will take turns in claiming their cash aid. Recipients will also have their own serial number and schedule based on their surnames arranged in alphabetical order.

“We were able to have an orderly and fast ayuda disbursement last April due to our serial number and alphabetical system of scheduling. We will make use of the same system, with the same list of recipients, to make sure we avoid crowding and a potential super spreader event,” San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora said.

The distribution schedules will be posted on the city’s Facebook page and in barangay halls.
