PNP logs 89 new COVID-19 cases; active infections rise to 1,843

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded 89 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, which raised the total number of infections in the national police force to 26,729.

 A total of 1,843 are active cases according to the PNP Health Service’s daily tally as of June 20.

 The PNP also recorded 168 new recoveries, which brings the total to 24,815.

The Department of Health on Saturday afternoon said a total of  1,353,220 have os far been recorded nationwide, including  59,439 active cases, 1,270,243 recoveries and 23,538 deaths.
