House adopts reso of condolences to deceased Antipolo Rep. Acop
MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives on Monday adopted a resolution expressing the lower chamber’s condolences to the family of the late Antipolo Rep. Resurreccion Acop.
The regular session was then immediately adjourned right after the approval of the resolution.
House Resolution 1810 also cited the numerous accomplishments and contributions of Rep. Acop as a legislator, who died on Friday at the age of 73 due to COVID-19.
The late solon served as the vice-chairperson of the chamber’s health committee.
According to the bill, Acop principally authored 102 bills and co-authored 44 measures, that addressed issues on child abuse, exploitation, discrimination, health, education and culture, labor and employment, public works, public order and safety, and science and technology.
