Olongapo City gets 9 more COVID-19 recoveries; logs 12 new cases
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales–Nine more patients have recovered from the COVID-19 in Olongapo City raising to 1,409 the total number of people who were healed from the disease as of Saturday.
The figure reflected an 84.37-percent recovery rate in the city that has already logged 1,670 COVID-19 cases since last year.
In an advisory, Olongapo Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said 12 new infections were also added to the city’s COVID-19 tally in the previous day.
Paulino said these patients are aged 22-83 and some are workers inside the Subic Bay Freeport.
In the last seven days, the city did not record any COVID-19-related deaths, which remained at 73.
To date, Olongapo still has 188 active COVID-19 cases, Paulino said.
