Ex-Azkals to beef up Erco FC’s roster for Thirsty Football Cup

THREE MEMBERS of the Philippine Air Force Phoenix, which is considered the most successful club in the United Football League (UFL), will be arriving today to beef up the ERCO Football Club competing in the 36-Above category of the 9th Thirsty Cup starting this Sunday at the University of San Carlos-Technological Center (USC-TC).

They are former Azkals member Yanti Bersales, Jeruzel Tonog and Edmundo Mercado Jr.

They will be joined by Joeme Tolosa, the assistant coach and goalkeeping coach of the Under-16 Philippine National Team better known as Teen Azkals.

The UFL-beefed up Erco FC will also play against the Don Bosco College (DBC) in an exhibition match at 3 p.m. at the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC).

FEATURED STORIES

Afterwards the three PAF players will be joined by their teammate Martin Doctora in holding a clinic for DBTC teams.

The PAF players will be joined by the team’s assistant manager Col. Alberto Mazuda who will be scouting for players here.
