PNP logs 88 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police on Tuesday reported 88 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, raising its total tally to 21,324.

The total number of active cases in the PNP decreased to 1,459, according to the PNP Health Service in a statement, while overall recoveries rose to 19,806 after 147 patients recovered from COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the agency’s death toll remained at 59 as of Tuesday, with no new deaths reported.

The country’s overall COVID-19 tally has reached 1,108,826 as of May 10, with 59,897 active cases, 1,030,367 recoveries, and 18,562 deaths, according to the Department of Health.
