MANILA, Philippines — Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat on Wednesday said the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) has granted the request of Manila Mayor Francisco Domagoso to put up a makeshift hospital for COVID-19 patients in Rizal Park.

Puyat, who chairs the NPDC as an attached agency of the Department of Tourism, said the temporary hospital for COVID-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms would be built at the Burnham Green of Rizal Park, a historical site and one of the biggest public parks in Metro Manila.
