2 suspects killed in shootout in Pasay; P46.7M shabu seized
MANILA, Philippines — Two drug suspects were killed after they allegedly fired back at law enforcers in a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on early Sunday morning.
In a report, the Philippine National Police (PNP) identified the suspects as only “Domeng” and “Rey.”
Police said they engaged the law enforcers in an “armed confrontation” during the drug sting along C5 Extension in Brgy. 201 in Pasay City at 3:10 a.m.
Authorities seized from the suspects about seven kilos of suspected crystal meth or shabu, which were stored in teabags, worth P47.6 million, P1,500,000 boodle money and two short firearms.
Six kilos of the seized shabu was found in the suspects’ vehicle.
Police said the suspects were “well-known” distributors of illegal drugs in Metro Manila and other nearby regions, which they supposedly get from “Chinese nationals and Filipino/Muslim contacts.”
