Bataan doctor tests positive for COVID-19

CABANGAN, Zambales –– A public hospital doctor residing in this town has tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, March 11, officials said.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the 33-year-old male doctor works in a Bataan hospital and went to Manila to visit a friend on March 6. After two days he experienced some symptoms of the disease.

The doctor then underwent a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test in Bataan before returning to this town.

Being a non-resident of Bataan, the doctor was included in the COVID-19 tally of this province.
