LUCENA CITY – The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) death toll in Quezon province jumped to 100, after three more deaths were recorded on Sunday.
The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) said the latest fatalities are from the towns of Sariaya, Atimonan and Lucena City.
No other details were given on the fatalities.
Thirty four of the deaths were recorded from Oct. 1 to 25.
Forty nine new COVID-19 cases also brought the total number of cases in the province, which is still under general community quarantine, to 3,403.
The number of patients who recovered from the viral illness has so far reached 2,342, while there are still 961 active cases as of Sunday afternoon.
