Revilla forgives those who wished he died of COVID: ‘Think of karma’

MANILA, Philippines — While saying he has forgiven those who wished him dead from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. reminded his bashers that karma may strike them back.

“Dun po naman sa mga bashers ko na pinanalangin pong ako’y mamatay, pinapatawad ko na po kayo. Wala po sa akin ‘yun,” Revilla said in an Facebook live video on Tuesday.

(To the bashers who wished me dead, I forgive you. That’s nothing to me.)

“Alam ko pong trabaho lamang yan, may nagpapa-bash para sa akin. Pero okay lang po ‘yun (I know it’s your job, somebody wants to bash me, but that’s okay),” he added.

Revilla though reminded his bashers that what goes around, comes around.

“Pero sana po ay isipin niyo rin na may karma, baka kayo ang balikan ng karma. Kayo din ang mahihirapan dahil mahirap po magkasakit,” he said.

(But you should also think of karma because karma comes around. You will also suffer because it’s hard to get sick.)

It was on Aug. 9 when Revilla disclosed he contracted the latest strain of the coronavirus.

On Aug. 18, he was rushed to the hospital as he developed pneumonia, but was discharged a week later.

The senator completed his quarantine period on Sept. 3, after

Revilla also had a message to people who are currently battling COVID-19: “Alam ko pong napakahirap ng pinagdadaanan niyo. Basta’t lakasan niyo lang po ang loob niyo at malalagpasan natin ito.”

(I know that what you are going through is hard. That’s why you should believe that you will overcome this.)

“Alam niyo lang po ang unang-unang kalaban niyo diyan? Sarili niyo. Kaya kailangan maging matatag kayo sa paglaban dito sa virus na ito,” he added.
