MANILA, Philippines — Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., who tested positive for the coronavirus in early August, completed his quarantine period after a month away from his family.

“After over a month, I can finally be with my family na walang pangamba whatsoever,” he added.

In a separate post, the senator said he was finally able to have dinner with his family after weeks of self-isolation.

Finally got to eat dinner with my family tonight after weeks of self-isolation. Salamat po sa lahat ng inyong malasakit at suporta para sa aking paggaling. 🙏

Revilla announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus last August 9. He was rushed to the hospital on August 18 and was discharged around a week after.

He is the fourth senator to test positive for the virus, which has already infected over 228,000 in the country.

Senators who previously got infected were Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri and Senators Sonny Angara and Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel Jr., all of whom have already recovered.
