Bong Revilla: My quarantine is done

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., who tested positive for the coronavirus in early August, completed his quarantine period after a month away from his family.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Revilla said his doctors advised that he can go outside of his isolation room.

“My quarantine is done,” he said.

“After over a month, I can finally be with my family na walang pangamba whatsoever,” he added.

In a separate post, the senator said he was finally able to have dinner with his family after weeks of self-isolation.

He also thanked those who offered prayers for his recovery.

Revilla’s wife, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado, also expressed gratitude that his husband was able to be with them after his bout with the respiratory disease.

“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng mga sumama sa aming magdasal para sa kanyang paggaling,” she said.

Revilla announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus last August 9. He was rushed to the hospital on August 18 and was discharged around a week after.

He is the fourth senator to test positive for the virus, which has already infected over 228,000 in the country.

Senators who previously got infected were Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri and Senators Sonny Angara and Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel Jr., all of whom have already recovered.
