City health staff member among 3 new COVID-19-positive patients in Calapan

CITY OF CALAPAN –– A 22-year-old female health staff is among the three new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-positive patients in this city, according to a report on Thursday by the City Health and Sanitation Department (CHSD).

The CHSD statement also said that the woman works in their institution. They did not give additional details.

The second patient is a 47-year-old man from Barangay San Antonio and currently at the City Treatment and Isolation Facility.

The third patient is a 49-year-old woman from Quezon City, who went to Calapan and Mansalay town to participate in bidding activity. She was swabbed in this city and tested positive of COVID-19. She is currently at the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital quarantine facility.

Meanwhile, a returning male Overseas Filipino Worker, who is from Barangay Sapul, and a female police officer, recently recovered from COVID-19.

As of Thursday afternoon, the city government said it has 136 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Thirty of the confirmed cases are active, while 105 have recovered, and one had died.
