Police find cocaine hidden in 500 coffee beans; suspects arrested
Italian police made an odd drug bust after finding around 500 coffee beans filled with cocaine in a package in the city of Milan.
Authorities inspected the parcel after seeing it was addressed to a certain Santino D’Antonio, as per TMZ last Friday, July 17. Santino D’Antonio is a villain in the 2017 film “John Wick: Chapter 2”.
After seizing the beans, officers from Guardia di Finanze cut the beans open and saw the drugs inside. Guardia di Finanza posted a clip of policemen slicing the beans on its Twitter page on the same day.

Upon closer look, they realized that the smugglers used black tape to keep the beans shut after filling them with cocaine. A total of over 130 grams of cocaine were found in the beans, as per a police statement via CTV news also last Friday.

According to the report, authorities have since dubbed the case as “caffè scorretto,” which translates to incorrect coffee in English. The phrase is a play on the Italian drink “caffè corretto” or correct coffee, which is made with espresso and a shot of sambuca or brandy. Ryan Arcadio/JB
