Quezon reports 8 new COVID-19 cases
LUCENA CITY — At least eight new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients were reported in Quezon on Thursday, bringing the total recorded cases in the province to 192.
In its 8 a.m. bulletin, the Quezon public information office (QPIO) citing the latest data from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) traced the four new cases to Lucena, and one each from the towns of Candelaria, Pagbilao, Patnanungan, and Mulanay. No other details were provided.
Of the 41 municipalities of the province, only 14 remain COVID-19-free
Quezon has recorded a total of 140 recoveries and 11 fatalities out of its 192 listed cases as of Thursday.
The province has 41 remaining active virus carriers.
At least 33 persons suspected of carrying the virus in Quezon are now isolated in medical facilities and being monitored. At least 47 are on home quarantine.
