Caloocan barangay chief shot dead
MANILA, Philippines — A Caloocan village head was shot dead on Saturday midnight as he was heading home. Barangay 151, Bagong Barrio chair Douglas Dilao was walking along Progreso Street after attending a birthday celebration of another barangay official when he was shot by five unidentified assailants.
The masked gunmen fled on board three motorcycles, said a report by the Caloocan City Police Station.
Dilao sustained several gunshot wounds. He was brought to Manila Central University Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
