Lagusnilad underpass rehab nears completion
MANILA, Philippines — The rehabilitation of Lagusnilad underpass, which was once a dingy passageway that connected Manila City Hall to Intramuros, will soon be completed, according to Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.
During a live Facebook broadcast on Friday, Domagoso showed photos of the improved underpass.
He added that the renovation would be finished “in the coming weeks.”

Lights and decorated panels were installed on the ceiling. Portions of the wall were also lined with decorative tiles. Potted plants were hung on some parts of the underpass. Domagoso added that the tiles on the stairs were nonskid to avoid accidents on rainy days.
