/ 04:32 AM May 27, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has ramped up its monitoring of cyberspace for criminal activities amid the coronavirus pandemic.

President Rodrigo Duterte said the DOJ’s Office of Cybercrime (OCC) has strengthened its monitoring of cybercrimes such as online scams, online libel, sexual harassment and sextortion.

He noted that the DOJ-OCC continues to evaluate tips and reports on online child sexual exploitation, and refers these to law enforcement agencies for investigation.
