2 patients in Pampanga hospital test positive for COVID-19

Two patients in the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) in Pampanga province tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19), a hospital official said on Thursday (March 12).

Dr. Monserrat Chichioco, JBLMGH chief, said five more patients are being watched for signs of infection.

JBLMGH is one of the health facilities designated by the government to handle COVID-19 cases because of their capabilities.

“We assure the public that all existing protocols, infection control guidelines and other issuances consistent with the declaration of public health emergency is being implemented to protect our patients and healthcare workers,” Chichioco said in a statement.
