Ex-BJMP employee nabbed in Legazpi City buy-bust

LEGAZPI CITY—A former employee of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) was arrested on Monday, Oct. 7, in a drug sting operation at a costal village in the city.

Capt. Dexter Panganiban, Albay police spokesperson, said Reynante Dayto, 45, resident of Pigcale village, was arrested as he sold shabu, or crystal meth, to an undercover police officer.

Police seized a still undetermined amount of meth and fake money from Dayto, who had been a BJMP employee until he went on absence without leave or Awol. Mar S. Arguelles/TSB
