MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms on Thursday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned of possible flash floods and landslides in rain-affected areas.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine area of responsibility was last spotted 640 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora and 715 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon.

The LPA is not expected to adversely or directly affect the country. /gsg
