PNP-SAF official shot dead by subordinate

MANILA, Philippines – A Philippine National Police – Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) official was shot dead by his subordinate inside Camp Bagong Diwa Monday afternoon.

The Taguig City police on Tuesday said that Master Sergeant Sanwright Lobhoy shot and killed  Major Emerson Palomares, commanding officer of the 125 Special Action Company – Force Service Batallion inside the latter’s office at about 4:40 p.m. Monday.

Palomares was rushed to Sabili Hospital and later transferred to Parañaque City Doctors Hospital where he expired at around 5:23 p.m.

Initial investigation showed the suspect and the victim had a heated confrontation inside latter’s office before the shooting incident.
